Important trade-in terms
- Device must be in acceptable working condition; devices found to have water damage, significant hardware malfunctions, a broken screen, or unauthorized modifications (such as jailbreaking/rooting) will not be accepted.
- The trade-in device must be one of the pre-approved models specified by Pagoda Wireless.
- Trade-in credit will only be provided as store credit; no cash refunds or direct bank transfers will be issued.
- Trade-in value will be applied as store credit towards a new purchase or the customer’s outstanding payment plan balance.
- The device must be presented with its original charger.

Is there a limit to the device value?
Yes. The plan covers devices up to JMD $300,000. Anything above that must be paid upfront.
Can I pay more than the required amount?
Yes! You can:
- Pay more than your minimum deposit
- Pay more than your monthly installment
- Pay off the device early
How do I make payments?
You can pay in-store, by salary deduction or by bank transfer (proof must be sent to SMS)
How will I know when my payment is due?
You’ll receive a payment schedule and also get reminders on your device.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Your device may be remotely restricted or locked. You will need to come in-store and clear all outstanding balances to regain full-access.
What happens if my phone is stolen, damaged or lost?
Our insurance program, Smart Protect, entitles you to a temporary device in some cases, but does not cover negligent loss. You would still be required to continue paying your installments.
Do I own the phone while paying?
SMS retains ownership of devices until they are fully paid off.

When can i get SmartProtect coverage
You can apply within 14 days of a new purchase to add Smart Protect as long as the device is in the same condition of initial purchase.
When is my premium due?
Premium must be paid in full at point of purchase to enable coverage.
If my phone is being replaced, can I get an upgrade?
Smart Protect only covers up to your original device’s insured value. You are free to choose from our devices up to that value, not beyond.
Can I opt for a payout instead of a replacement device?
We unfortunately do not offer cash payouts as an alternative to device replacement.
Can I cancel before the end of the coverage period?
Smart Protect coverage can be cancelled at any time with written notice.
Is my premium refunded after cancellation?
A partial refund will be issued if your premium is fully paid and you cancel within 6 months of taking out your policy.
